Kawalimus posted:It's like no matter what different players, no matter different coaches, GMs, goalies, opponents, the Capitals are always the same old poo poo in the playoffs. It's EXACTLY the same poo poo now as it was in the Bondra/Oates era! I can't stand it. Just turned the game off and leaving this hellhole. I don't believe in things like curses but I swear the caps are cursed. The Caps are playing fine, relax.

Eric the Mauve posted:I think one of the stories of this series is the Caps being surprised to discover that thugging it up doesn't make the Penguins melt down anymore, they just keep playing their game and opportunistically dish it back when they can. Eh, it still kinda works on Malkin and Letang. But apart from that, sure.

Man that was one of the luckiest bounces you could ask for. Thought the Caps were slightly better that game but I'll take it.

Pleads posted:The Pens have 2 wins on games where bounces their way were the difference. Really the series should probably be 2-2. Pens were better game 1 and 2, Caps were better the last two. I think it could still end up going 7 because of that if things keep trending the Caps' way.

Prior to that insanely lucky bounce the Pens had lost their past 8 playoff OT games. Bout fuckin time we win one of those even if it was in the luckiest way imaginable.
