Speaking of single player I hope they just make a bigger multiplayer this time around and leave out the bad singleplayer campaign that people only play for unlocks. But judging by Battlefront there'll be no singleplayer and a smaller multiplayer.

I am withholding all judgement until I actually see some gameplay. My knee-jerk reaction is that this couldn't possibly be very interesting due to the nature of warfare at the time, but I'm willing to at least give it a shot.

If there is trench warfare and all the vehicles fall apart immediately this could be the best game in the series by far. Side step the urine jar sniper and vehicle nonsense without preventing people from doing that.

I don't like the setting because poo poo like cool guns and ziplines and C4 and helicopters were not a thing back then. BF is fun because it has so much variety in gameplay and I can't see that tech being available in TYOOL 1914 without introducing some weird steampunk alt thing which would also suck Also lol at wooden guns And how the hell will you unlock attachments? I like accessorising in BF

One of my favorite bits is a modification of the German stick grenade desigbed to deal with the thin undersides of tanks and other fortified positions, where they attached 4 of them together, like a fragmentation bouquet. When that wasn't enough they kept adding until there were some examples that were 9 explosive heads attached to a single stick.

Actual plate armor for automatic gunners was a thing as well, and stood up to pistols at close range, rifles at like 400m or so. That and melee weapons and we can pretend to be Conquistadors.
