The US just lost to Germany on a last minute goal from Korbinian Holzer. Given that their last game is against Hungary, this should guarantee Germany finishing third in the group which I'll just assume is their best group finish in the Worlds in a very long time. e: Also the Czechs just lost to Denmark. This World's is weird.

Looking at the standings and schedule it seems that this probably means that Denmark advances (to get squashed by Canada/Finland) and Switzerland goes home. The World's are the best.

Belarus beat France today, meaning that despite winning a game Hungary will still finish last in their group and face relegation. Two games left now, each starting in 15 minutes. Russia/Sweden play to sort 2nd/3rd in group A, while Canada/Finland sort 1st/2nd in group B.

Norway won the last game, sending coach Roy Johansen of with a win in his last game as our coach. The loss against Denmark in the opening game hurts even worse now though, as we'd been in the QF if we'd won it. But, there is always another championship, and we've played better in this one than I ever can remember
