It was the combination of him falling backwards unconcious, waking up, and then struggling for a single motionless while having his temple elbowed to death, which makes me think the stoppage was ok, even if Bigfoot did think he was ok as he motionlessly thought about what to do with a single leg for a good 5 seconds.
