The way Live and Let Die tries so hard and fails at dipping its toes in the blaxploitation genre is one reason why the movie sucks. Worse that they waste an excellent actor like Yaphet Kotto. It also makes you wish they had just let American International or someone actually adapt a James Bond novel with a black James Bond. At least any time Geoffrey Holder is on screen is gold.

Roger Moore proved that nobody should be Bond longer than five movies. He's fine, but it becomes pretty old hat by the end, and you can tell he and the producers were phoning it in in later episodes.

Lazenby only got the job because he lied that he'd been in all sorts of big films in eastern europe and people just took his word for it. Also controversial opinion quantum of solace is better than skyfall and spectre but only on a second viewing.

Everyone always built up Moonraker to be horrible and it's really not that bad. It's ridiculous but it's kinda good. Just don't go comparing it with From Russia With Love or anything. Live and Let Die is pretty pretty bad though.
