Every 2 years there will be a better screen, people with money will get it. That is driven by phones, and there will be a point where we just don't need a 6k resolution to be mass produced on a 5 inch screen. Content creation is a loving mess and outisde of games will always be trailing behind. the Nokia ozo is 60k and before it hit the market it can't even hit half the native resolution of current vr headsets. Some film rental place we've used to get cameras from bought it and wanted to use a place we had access to in their promo for it. They let us have it for 2k for the day and we were set to be the first commercial job using it, they had a pr agency on standby excited for all the rental revenue it was going to make them... then we called them back and told them it was poo poo and we wouldn't be doing the job. Room scale with objects in the room that link to what you see in vr is the proper way (we got fans that kick in when you step out onto a terrace and scents and poo poo), but our quick and dirty still image vr is making the most money right now. If you spin around standing up with your headset and if you spin around sitting down on a swivel chair, the same movement information is being relayed via your headset, isn't it? So what does this chair really do, apart from being a nice chair to swivel around on? I could just put some furniture wheels under a large upside-down bucket and have the same thing, couldn't I? The video talks about how it's all connected and poo poo, but I don't see any point in that. Aren't they basically manufacturing a hi-tech plastic bucket here? I don't get it?
