I've tried but it has a hostile interface that I've never been able to get past.

I haven't played that in awhile and the dev was updating fairly consistently then but I remember it being fun. Bonus points because it pissed off the spergs in the Reddit incremental thread for being a Kong link.

I'm still confused by Realm Grinders popularity. I've tried to get into it a few times but unless I didn't get very far it was still closer to a Idle Heroes than a Mine Defense. You get your numbers big and reset so you can get them big again. Was I missing something?

I've been playing Mystic Castle. It's kind of like "a dark room" which starts out as a clicker sort of game and then turns into a dungeon crawler.

I did my daily check of the reddit incremental page and someone posted :nws:this:nws: it's an incremental called Fleshcult where you play as a succubus/incubus and seduce people. I'm uh...not really sure why this is a thing. I haven't tried it but hopefully someone here is brave enough to give it a go.

"a bit"

A ~ten minute quest gives me maybe 200 quest points tops, and I'd need 10000 to buy out the casino alone, let alone evolution stones and stuff. Not sure where eggs factor in - isn't it just always better to buy evo stones? - but yeah, now that I beat the Champion I'll shelve this one until he figures out a real curve for endgame.

The eggs have the other starters + some other non-starter pokemon you cant get other places in it. I want to get the rest of it but I can't bring myself to bother grinding the quests. That poo poo needs retooled. Supposedly the more you do in one day the more points you get but there's too many little things keeping it from being easy to idle those up.

Plus the elemental shards for the evo stones. That poo poo needs rebalanced.

So far pretty sure. You can go back and catch everything you haven't already and then you can take level 100 Pokemon to mom and turn them into an egg and hatch the egg for a chance at getting a shiny pokemon if you really hate yourself. And there's legendaries you can catch. But yeah there isn't much right now.

I don't know anything about code but I was talking in the pokeclicker irc channel about how the tab crashes if you leave it in an inactive tab for too long and the conversation went like this:

quote:

@IshaD
Hmm
Never heard such a complaint

Hewdraw (not me)
yeah if you leave it in an inactive tab it will slow down a lot
i usually just put it in a seperate window to prevent it

@IshaD
Yup, nothing I can do about that

I feel like that shouldn't be a thing your game does and that should be preventable what with how many idle games don't do that exact thing.

Pokeball catch time goes down to like 1 second, I managed to survive. I want the shard cost and quest point poo poo to be slashed in hundredths (at most) and more pokemon added and the game to be less of a performance hog and quests to be less poo poo in general. And none of that I can hack, except to give myself shards and QP which kinda defeats the point, you know?

Nobody on Reddit or in the chatroom has mentioned performance issues to the dev so I'm pretty sure he isn't even looking into that.

If I were to play a mobile idler, it would have to:

- Not be a goddamned cash grab
- Have good resource/battery longevity
- Not be a goddamned cash grab
- Operate fine when minimized or better yet closed (calculate effective progress based on change in clock)
- Not be a goddamned cash grab
- Be the sort of game you'd check in on for a minute or two every few hours and not suffer if you're unable to babysit every five minutes
- Not be a goddamned cash grab

Being plastered with advertising is included in being a goddamned cash grab.

NB: Most of these also apply to web idlers, except the one about not needing babysitting; web games I can see being more realistic to reward active play. And while battery longevity may not be a concern, you still don't want to gobble up CPU or memory.

It would be nice if offline progress wasn't gated behind premium currency. I've tried a lot of mobile idlers that expect me to give them real money so I can get offline progress and gently caress that.

Do people really care about story in their idle games? I'm okay with the story being "you want to make more money". Idling to Rule the Gods is a great example of going overboard with the story (at least it's just an optional extra hidden in a menu, but still).
E: Haha you want us to beat a boss that has 1.3 million attack with 200 energy and it taking 5k levels to unlock the next level of training? What the hell, man.

For me I like there to be something beyond numbers getting big. That's why I can't get into Realm Grinder because there's no reason to restart except the numbers get bigger faster. Mine Defense is probably my favorite because it actually changed things numerous times and added content rather than a reset to go faster system.

Do we have anyone playing Deep Town? It's very much a clicker game but I've been playing it and there's guilds that do... something.

You start out on ground level and work your way down a mineshaft building mining platforms to get materials for crafting and occasionally floors will have a boss type thing you have to out dps to move forward.

It starts out with just coal and copper but eventually you get boatloads of different things from the mine that can craft. Things you dig up and craft can be sold for money or used as upgrade fodder. There's also quests that pop up sometimes like "farm x of y" or "get x mining platforms to level y".

Just wondering if we have anyone playing and a guild already or if I should make one because why not

Edit: here's an invite link. I get free stuff if you use it.

Join Deep Town crafters ranks, and we both get a free chest! https://zcb5x.app.goo.gl/?link=http...3uCX9JTkYssn1Xw

is deep town idly at all? meaningful offline progression?

You do eventually unlock the ability to set a robot to auto collect resources for 8 hour chunks of time and all your crafting happens if the app is closed. All you've gotta do it the clicking to dig down which once you get a decent way down you'll be able to sell off a bunch of poo poo and over upgrade the laser to make that quick.

As for an iOS link it doesn't look like the Android link will give me anything but a play link
