So this is actually gonna be the only Kirby video for this week -- we never quite recovered from the weird weekend, but we should be back on track for Monday. Also, PROGRESS! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1k7W60OYkOE

Ugh, been sick all week, so I haven't been excellent about posting, but hey. We're back at it, and Lindsay's not even the only one in the driver's seat! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5njB8oC__gs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RO9Zm4awegA

Honestly even if it wasn't on the gamecube, the game's design is still not great. The platforms are hella narrow and there's like nothing to help stop you from going over edges.

Yeah, it's definitely a VERY difficult game even on the Game Boy Color (which, for what it's worth, is way way way more comfortable and easy to control), and it could have done with a little more QA to make sure it wasn't half impossible right out of the gates... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWyvOx96rXY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UvtpcSxxdT8

It's making for a fun LP at least. It's weird how these hard games have so much nostalgia induced into them. But for me and Kirby Block Ball, that game is honestly quite easy and simple and that's why I enjoy it more than, say, Pinball Land, which is unforgiving to make it more like a REAL pinball machine. This is my first ever look at Tilt 'n' Tumble though, as I've likely said before. It's pretty fun to watch, of course, but I can't imagine playing it myself. Kudos to y'all. I look forward to every minute of Lindsay and Ben's banter.

I can see why you're struggling with Tilt 'n' Tumble, though I enjoyed it back in the day (on a GBC, natch). I'm looking forward to your hard-mode run of it, and I congratulate you for advancing through sheer persistence (i.e., the Arino method)!

Been almost a month since the last update. What's going on? Too much Mega Man and Sonic to do? No space for the Gamecube setup? I'm sure you guys could figure something out if you had to.

That's some pretty amazing timing you have there, since while we left off on this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04ejNJA_xVI ...less than seven hours after you posted, we brought it back! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tfevAKZ0xAU We're going to be talking a bit about Kirby and such next week in a live hangout, but in the meantime, we're back to finish off Tilt 'n' Tumble!

Man that Windman scenario was better than I could ever hope for You might wanna remove ColourPoint from your folder, what it does is it gives your front column to your opponent in exchange for giving your following chip a 30 dmg boost. I'm not sure if DoublePoint is in BN4, but you should use either of em only for Vulcans and Bass chips. Windsoul is kinda interesting if you use a lot of Rockcube, since you can use wind chips to punt them into dudes for 200 dmg, but it's gimmicky at best. And NorthWind is only good in PvP since only other players have auras and barriers in BN4.

Windman was amazing in every single way. Not only was it loving hysterical from top to bottom, IT FELT LIKE A BATTLE NETWORK GAME AGAIN. Sadly, it wasn't meant to last And yeah, gently caress ColorPt, it's not doing me any favors. Meanwhile, keeping the streak alive in Tilt 'n' Tumble! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYgbdZ-cBo0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KmZ8uuoce4I

Oh my god you're doing X6 blind. Why. Why would you do this. There's actually a failure state in this game where if you let certain people get captured you can't progress past the first sigma stage.

Briefly reviving this dead thread to more directly bludgeon it to death for the time being. For those of you guys who were wondering what the hell happened to The Dreamy Let's Play and don't watch much of our other stuff, allow me to direct you to our Patreon Hangout video for this month: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGqWqu6xHDQ The short version is that playing Mega Man, Sonic, Pokémon, Kirby, and Zelda all at the same time is just way the gently caress too much for us (and probably for a lot of you, too), so out of the five of those, the one that's not necessarily the most disposable but at the very least the one that'll make us suffer the least for putting it on hold was this one. The good news is that we timed things specifically such that the break is happening at the point in time where Kirby went through a bit of a renaissance. When Kirby returns (after either Zelda or Pokémon end), it'll be a whole new look, a whole new style, and... well a whole lot difference of a franchise. No more side games minus a very early one, a handful of rejiggered remakes, and otherwise a lot more standard Kirby platforming with a quirk or two per game. But the series will return, we have not forgotten! And you guys'll be the first to know when it does.

Well you're close to going back to the more standard Kirby games at least! IIRC Kirby: Nightmare in Dreamland is next followed by Kirby and the Amazing Mirror.
