My wife and I got surprise-upgraded on a flight to Europe several years back after never having flown anything but economy, and we're still talking about it now. ANA's business class rocks and personally I don't see what the point of first class is if no one's fellating you or writing songs about you while you're there. Benefit of doing so would be that you'd have enough points to take business class on the way back, too! coming back on economy suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucked
