the chancellor of the 50 place republic, barack, is going to on july fourth appoint donald with constitutional authority by executive action and the engelsist democrap party will be effectively outlawed before the elections even go down, ushering in forty thousand years of glory for the first american Reich; so idk what comparison there is to make with non-entrepreneur, non-american adolf and his measly dozen years of social justice

Acid Haze posted:What exactly do you know about what transpired in Germany during the period from 1900-1934? What do you know about our (US) actual politics? Good points, but to be honest we can't make comparisons of Trump and Hitler relative to Hitler's post-1933 activity. Insofar as political campaigns go, there is similarity in rhetoric and the nature of their supporters ("brown shirts" versus angry white dudes that blame racial/ethic groups for the nation's problems). Also, a Trump victory could only happen as a result of combined constituencies; Trump is unlikely to garner the support of a majority, but he could win as a combination of a plurality plus some others. Trump's most vocal supporters seem like they could be a violent group, but that is yet to be seen. In any event, America is far more under control than Germany was in the 30's and any equivalent "brown shirt" groups would be quickly controlled; no paramilitary organization like the Nazi's SA could even start. Trump is similar to Hitler in the way he uses a political party as a vehicle to power (Trump is using the Republican Party, and Hitler used the Nazi Party). Both, as candidates, relied upon inflammatory rhetoric to gain support. Neither are particularly concerned about truth. Both simply "make up" things to support their rhetoric. Both attack the political establishment, both attack the media and "educated elites," and both are intensely nationalist. It remains to be seen if Trump will actually invade Mexico, though, although his border arguments are a bit concerning. Love, Vitalis

The Trump family name was shortened from Trumpowitzstein in 1925 when his great grandfather Morry immigrated to the US. I'm guessing that kinda releases him from any comparisons to Hitler.

Germany's economy was really hosed during the great depression and they were paying war reparations as well. That fueled the same kind of extremism you see in the middle east right now where people are on the street without jobs, looking for someone to blame (the jews). Well, that and the Germans felt humiliated after WWI. Hitler and the nazis would have never come to power in a stronger economy. Handwringing about how Trump is the next Hitler, the rise of some kind of American fascist party and the next world war or some poo poo is beyond moronic. It's the kind of comparison only seriously made by people who don't know even basic history. Sophy Wackles fucked around with this message at 21:27 on May 23, 2016 |

trump votes statistically democrat and is probably a hardline troll. i think he's dangerous but that hillary is going to win regardless and that's a great thing. i wish there was more active education in hillary's campaign as to why being a trump supporter is dangerous and bad, with more talk about recycling guns, cleaning up the jail system so its more like norway/germany and focused on rehab, doing more things for the american infrastructure and job creation, gay/trans rights, demilitarizing or focusing more on a un task force, etc, etc, more socialist social welfare type solutions that fit with the 2016 time period. not stuff that keeps the same pattern and cycles going. if you think an american politian is hitler in 2016 you may have high ptsd from the bush years and need to take a nature retreat or something, maybe fantasy rape roleplay, idk.
