Has it been discussed whether the album is going to be sample heavy? I'm guessing that they won't be able to do the "entirely made of samples from a thrift store record bin" that they did for SILY, butlistening to Frankie Sinatra it sounds like a "pretty good" track by a couple of producers/DJ's. I'm also with everyone else though, even if they just release an album full of shrieking, I'll still buy it and see them on tour a million times.

I was listening to random music on my computer that I hadn't browsed in forever, came across SILY, started listening, and it feels ridiculously serendipitous that of all times I do this I find out The Avs are FINALLY coming out with a sophmore album. The more I listen to these other songs the more I like Frankie Sinatra... I guess that's part of "the avalanches" thing. I was pretty disappointed with it on first listen so I am stoked with how good these subsequent leaks have been. I REALLY like Because I'm Me.

You sound like a lovely botched person that hates fun. How can you possibly think negatively when you get a decent quality sneak preview? Three songs came out from a set performed in public by the avalanches. Two more were played on TRIPLEJ - biggest indie music station in Australia and where they (the band) debuted frankie sinatra as well. Amazon loving up aside, basically everything that came out was intentional.
