Yeah, Ruth and Jordan were greats in their sports but they never really put their rear end on the line. At a time where people were getting assassinated fighting for civil rights, he didn't back down from that or refusing the draft, losing years of his prime. One of my favorite things about Atlanta getting the Olympics was watching him light the torch.
