I was at the Zynga Seattle studio in June 2013. Mattrick came to visit the studio before he even went down to SF. There had been a substantial layoff earlier in the month, but Mattrick went out of his way to let us know we were valuable members of the company and that they planned to keep us around. Six months later they closed the studio. They gave us an opportunity to ask questions when he visited and in retrospect I wish I had asked wtf was up with "Xbox One". Edit: Zynga has been circling the drain since the IPO, I'm pretty sure he got cut loose because things didn't improve while he was there. Also the reason they're still a going concern is because, despite a lot of misguided purchases, they are sitting on an absolute poo poo ton of cash.
