I've never understood this. I'm 4 feet, 11.75 inches, and I'm fine with anyone less than a foot taller than me. But I know girls an inch or two taller who won't talk to a guy under six feet.

from an evolutionary biology perspective, I just don't get it. What is this amazing survival utility associated with height? You'd think women would be more interested in muscular strength, or endurance, or hell, good teeth, even pro-social behavioral traits... what's height for, like you can get slightly higher apples or something? It must function as a proxy for good overall physical health?
