Nihilism is not just being depressed though. Anyway a lot of philosophical things like that seem obvious to us once they are said, esp if they have some truth to them, but I doubt you'd be able to come up with it on your own independently.

The concept of nihilism as a philosophy is kind of funny. A bunch of people who think life is meaningless, but try to impress upon others the fact they think life is meaningless. If you've truly accepted that fact, I don't see why you'd dwell on it much at all. OP is depressed and so am I, but nihilism is a net positive in my experience. I don't have any issue with the universe ultimately being nothing. If anything it makes me realize how insignificant the unhappiness I feel is, and that you either die or move forward through life. Op will probably die soon.

yeah a lot of people in this thread can't seem to separate nihilism from depression if nihilism is something that makes you feel liberated and is a positive emotion for you, that's great for you, i guess, though your happiness is insignificant and pointless it's really not worth feeling either way about and that's okay too just do or feel whatever because nothing matters
