I heard someone at work anticipating the weekend, better go post a meme that says, "You're working for the weekend, they're working for your freedom." with a picture of a soldier doing jack poo poo nothing in camelshit nowhere. Never enjoy anything, just knowing the vet's sacrifice makes it too painful.

99% of all soliders will tell you that being in the service is just a crappy job if they're honest. The only people that believe their own hype are marines, but they're actually really poo poo soldiers and pretty much all the other branches consider them tremendous faggots. so i guess if you're a regular lower class person with little or no future, you could do worse than the army

The only reason I stayed was the kids and the benefits. Aside from some deployments it's really a super loving easy job after you get a few ranks under your belt. Can't speak for the army though.
