WCPW Loaded #4 is now live! They're starting to tighten up now, can't wait to see how it all goes in a bigger venue. E: They finally added a new youtube channel specifically for WCPW DPM fucked around with this message at 03:21 on Aug 23, 2016 |

Their First PPV is now going live. If nothing else it should have some pretty decent wrestling. Rampage vs Big Damo for the WCPW World Title - Jay Lethal vs Noam Dar for the ROH World Title - Joe Coffey vs Primate: No Holds Barred - El Ligero vs Martin Kirby - Joe Hendry and Joseph Conners vs Prospect - Gabriel Kidd vs Prince Ameen https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2ggROPkskM Edit: Very solid show all in all. Them getting an actual commentary team that has worked the uk indies for quite a bit really ups the quality together with better sound mixing and the matches were all pretty decent. As CVE Mentioned, WCPW - BUILT TO DESTROY, their first PPV style event happened earlier today. The new commentary team, behind the scenes changes, bigger audience and longer matches have made a massive difference. Legitimately enjoyed Built to Destroy. They are doing a good job making me more interested in their product, and that was the end of their first tapings, so the next set of tapings should be booked a bit better. I saw that WC was taking a lot of feedback and they're even making fun of their problems on the channel (especially the over-reliance on screwy finishes). New commentary team is the best thing ever.

The first match was the best of the evening and I'm a mark for flippy poo poo. The main event suffered through the potential injury though I heard that it wasn't that bad since he apparently finished the rest of the tapings. The Finish for the women's match was a huge botch. Still it's competently made and the wrestling is usually very solid regardless of what one may think about the promotion being made by internet smarks, which is personally don't mind.

this show improved a hundred times by getting actual commentators instead of that horrible unfunny king guy who just references wwe their finishes and booking are still really bad for the most part, but the wrestling itself is mostly pretty good Cardboard Box fucked around with this message at 21:15 on Aug 9, 2016 |

Cardboard Box posted:this show improved a hundred times by getting actual commentators instead of that horrible unfunny king guy who just references wwe I think a big problem with the booking is that they have many guest stars that they want to show in a good light to please the crowd and their audience but since they are there only alimited time it hurts the overall product to have them go over the entire time since you cannot have a drawn out story with these people. Other than that it is a best of wwe booking in some cases for their huge decisions but to be fair it's only 6 weeks in so they still have to find their feet and build a roster before they can engage in serious long term booking I feel. Professional commentary is miles above what they started out with. Although Blampied died alright in the one match he commentated when Simon wasn't there. King Ross is horrible though through and through. His Heel commentary doesn't really work.

The almost lucha scene-esque drama with WCPW playing the role of Elite has me more intrigued by the UK scene than before at least. gently caress if I have the time to follow any more wrestling than I already do tho.

This whole thing is very interesting. When I heard their announcements and ridiculously cheap prices for tickets recently to see people like Angle and Del Rio, I didn't think of how it would impact other promotions in the area. I'm excited to see where this goes in the next few months. Wrestling drama is cool.

I'm gonna go to WCPW and see Minoru Suzuki and Kurt Angle and Cody Rhodes and Alberto Del Rio and whoever for pennies and then go to UFC 204 immediately after then fly home where none of these companies run yee haw don't care about the stability of the scene suck m'dick promoters

The site seems to have a lot of content outside of wrestling, and it has at least 3 youtube channels I can think of on the top of my head. Not to mention to extra merch and magazine they sell on their store. It's definitely operating at a loss, but they are probably making enough off of their other ventures to compensate for the time being.

Not that I agree with it, I just find it funny due to some political proclivities in that business, is all. It would be pretty poo poo if they imploded and took out the rest of UK's wrestling scene with them tho.
