Endless Mike posted:these are cool because there's a 75% chance they're out of spec and will blow up whatever you connect to them assuming you can even find them anywhere Sundar sent me 3 cables, a long one, a medium one, and a short one. My needs are suited. They've all been sent by the man himself directly from Mountain View. Nexus + Fi Supremeacy. gently caress off SmallSons.

the pro move is to get one usb adapter and just leave that plugged into your phone forever. to make a star trek reference: it's the "best of both worlds."

echinopsis posted:so the entire pc is unregulated? I was charging from front usb port it's more likely because wiring in most NZ places are terrible and old and most of them are not grounded properly like if you try and plug any two prong stuff like a usb charger or modern tv into a live nz socket, it will create a huge spark as you plug the device in for some reason this never happens with live US outlets even if it was the exact same device, maybe that's why they've included a switch for all the outlet in nz so you can plug the devices in first before turning the socket on and if the device has bare metal skin outer shell then it will have the weird 'buzzing' electrical feeling when you touch them, sometimes it messes with the touch input too

Mr SuperAwesome posted:can you even get USB to USB C cables yeah, those exist usb-c cables are pretty complex though, they contain active components informing devices what power-draw and pin-outs and such they support, so bargain basement cable makers haven't quite caught up yet still seems a clear-cut win as a future port/cable standard though
