Anthrax was was on the show and had speaking lines. So was like every 60's hippy rock has-been in the airport episode. There was simply no room for more musical acts. And it would have been impossible to cast any bikini girls for a grunge/college rock episode so where would the fun be in having Mudhoney or Screaming Trees bringing down the atmosphere for three shooting days?

Season 8 in random screenshots. I think they hit more than their grunge quota with Waylon Jennings in flannel.

Good lord Lil' D is awful. Anger is never a music motif that flows well from child stars. Shoulda taken the Joey Lawrence route and used his debut track to bring some colorful joy into this world via blue-eyed new jack swing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7FtI3cmZ38

Crowsbeak posted:I was wondering but has this show ever gotten play in Eastern Europe? The best pirated version I know of has a Russian dubbed audio track. Every single episode. From what little I've seen of their current television, its was a perfect cultural fit. The leave the names intact so its a wonderful blur of Russian language followed by a distinct "Bud"

I'm going to setup a streaming service that specializes in single-season failed 90's Fox & Cable comedies. I'll call it "What Was That Show With The..." and charge people 9.99 per month to watch episodes of Top of the Heap, Vinnie and Bobby and that show where the entire premise was "strangers own a beachhouse together". My domain name will be my entire SEO spend. Then I'll do most of my business development by seeding social media with vague questions about lost episodes causing people to half-remember the show, go looking for it online only to find out that I've sewn up all broadcast rights and DMCA'ed every file locker and torrent search result. Then I'll get rich off the people that forget to cancel the recurring charge.

Pudding Huxtable posted:I'm now getting buttloads of memories of early 90s FOX shows now. I also remember some other sitcom where it was a varied cast living in a house, one of which was some tubby ultra-sperg who got pity hosed in one episode, and poo poo was just cringey even to my 13 year old self. That was the show about the beach house. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Down_the_Shore Thank you for proving out my business model. Please give me your CC number and I'll email you a few URLs.

I too want to repost old things to this thread. Here is a look behind the scenes and into the mind & motivations of the sort of 90's Los Angeles rock video girl that would regularly appear on Married With Children. The "Ohmygod" girl was definitely on the show, probably a few others as well. Its https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jNSD0f38gaA
