Saddling a student with tens of thousands of dollars in debt and useless degree turns out to be a great way to turn them into leftist agitators, just don't remind them that it was the leftist system of academia that put them in that situation in the first place. STEM has been pushed extremely hard over the last two decades so I don't think you can use societal pressure as a reason for someone getting a worthless degree
