I saw him play with his band Newsted (  ) in 2013. their own stuff didn't make an impression but it was worth checking them out to hear him do Whiplashmy cousin gave me a tape of puppets when i was like 8 or 9 and hearing battery for the first time blew my mind. i had to replay it like 10 times in a row before moving on to the rest of the album.

If jason was in the street, he's pretty much one of the only celebrities I could see myself stop to say hi to (I wouldn't) but would probably never go out of my way to say hi to other members of the band.

Metallica does indeed own, but Lars is a poo poo drummer. Any of the drummers of the other big thrash metal bands of that era could drum circles around him. What a chump.
