It really is hard to top Caro. Imagine being in some Syrian dungeon for years enduring God knows what, and when you finally think you're going to be saved it's by those people who are out to get you Anybody remember that thread making fun of Seasteaders and some guy wrote this amazing story from the perspective of a UN relief worker visiting one?

Caro is probably the single greatest thing in SA history because of the recent developments. I'd kill for a dramatization or documentary of the whole thing. Back in the day it seemed like he would sometimes be getting help but then go off the grid for awhile and just double down on paranoia of the CIA or whatever. I think Brown Moses or somebody tried to get him help and Caro threatened to kill him. He posted videos of him shooting at randos at the desert and getting upset because dudes driving by in technicals got in the way of his sniper duel. For years people would post RIP Caro because basically everyone assumed he was dead. The fact that he survived and was rescued is like the most jawdropping thing that has ever happened as long as I've been on the forums. Holy poo poo, no idea he also started blogging about it. I'm like halfway through the "Death March Across America" thread and holy poo poo. It's the E/N well post spot-on. Tons of qualified, experienced hikers were like "you're an idiot because you haven't tested your gear, you haven't trained or prepared for this at all, and all your gear sucks." All his replies were laden with  or he'd simply avoid questions like "how far have you hiked in a day?" Everyone, everyone told him how stupid and unfeasible taking a baby stroller on loving hiking trails was and sure enough it broke 6 miles in and he only made it 5 days with one rest day included. Jesus christ. And if he never posted the thread he would have kept with his original route of trudging along the loving highway in Nevada and other hellscapes in the middle of summer. He even acted smug about changing his route, which was obviously due to tons of goons telling him it was literally suicide. And people gave him like 3 grand for a five-day hike. drat that saga made me feel like I'm not a fuckup at all compared to Muerte.
