pathologic is weird because it being a horrible, ugly miserable, poorly-translated slog is what makes it work. You start dreading the game from the minute you think about playing it and it all builds from there. basically a bunch of insane russians accidentally made some kind of outsider art instead of a video game and it only works because it doesn't really function as a game. I'm worried they ll get the remake to work properly and it'll lose the parts that make it tick

Undertale was a problem before it was released because the furries latched onto "Goatmom" and deluged the internet with porn, but admittedly pedos did the same with Splatoon so... It was funny because my goon BF raved about how great it was, goons were loving it! SHOULD HAVE KNOWN IT WAS poo poo. Anyways LISA is leagues better, a thousand times over. But I am the type that enjoys games like Deadly Premonition and D4. god dammit why are we talking about videogames again in GBS

This is my least favorite part of Pathologic. There's a ton of parts where it's almost completely impossible to progress without looking at a guide, because the game is so opaque and bad about telling you what to do next. I think the devs intended you to play through it multiple times like Dead Rising, figuring more and more out each time, but considering a full playthrough of the game is like thirty hours long hahahaha gently caress that.
