Which is why it's doubly hilarious they put up a Liverpool MP as their stalking horse. They set Eagle up for a massive fall and let her think she might actually be leader out of it all. Sad.

to be fair it's her fault if she ever thought she had a chance, even without being the stalking horse

lol that's a perfectly fine response to the question.

the gently caress is wrong with you?

his response to immigration is that it isn't a problem, because it isn't, wage stagnation he deals with and house prices, well that's dealt with by providing enough houses.

Did you... did you read that response there? Where Owen Jones asked him for an easily-digestible message that Labour has for the country? And he didn't mention either of those issues in his response?
Even when he does talk about immigration he literally dismisses it as 'not really a problem'. He has suggested a migrant impact fund to address that non-problem. (I know it's not the real problem you gently caress.) He need to put the migration impact fund front and loving centre, and point to it and say, look at how the Tories and Blair ignored how your communities are going down the shitter and your public services are already overstretched but are being stretched further. This is what we're going to do about it.

Right, I can't even remember the last time I saw him in an interview talking about building houses or rent caps. He has not been out there saying these things in the persistent way that he needs to. Everyone acknowledges this, there are just differing opinions on whether he can actually do anything that will be effective enough to cut through the media bias.

immigration isn't really a problem and jeremy favours building more houses and rent caps.

You make him sound more like an evangelist than a politician.

Which is apt.

Witnessing him compel Green voters to speak in tongues won't make him a better Labour Party leader.

how is that making him sound like an evangelist?

you can come and listen to him speak, put forward his policies himself with no editor or director and make a decision yourself.

Because you seem to be suggesting that seeing him in the flesh might make me a believer.

And even if it did that wouldn't make him the right person to lead the Labour Party. He just doesn't have what it takes to deliver a Labour government.

I am suggesting nothing of the sort, I just think it would be interesting to see what your opinion is after you went and saw him for yourself, whether it would reinforce your opinion or not.
