I keep seeing those videos or Twitter pictures where they show a picture of a far-off landmark and claim that it shouldn't be visible if the Earth is round. I know there's some sort of science there that I'm uneducated in, like bending light waves or something, but I'm not sure. How do those work?

Your brain can't process all the information so it filters out objects that are further away. Also ships don't actually disappear behind the horizon when they sail out to sea, that's an optical illusion as well. As for satellites orbiting the Earth? That's just a complete lie. Scientists made it up.

I recently got linked to 'Before it's news' for some random reason (just some bullshit, not like, anything serious). And ran across several of these articles there, VERY recently posted. This was something I just assumed died several decades ago along with the 'mainstream' ufo poo poo. But no. People out there are VERY serious about this, and it just kinda blew my mind.
