It's mostly useful for running away from things, but quite frankly there's almost nothing in this game that you can't run away from just using the run button. Even bears and poo poo can be outrun until they give up on you even if you need to throw a calm spell or a few stamina potions into the mix. I feel like it would have more uses if you couldn't already stop time in order to do healing and item management. I just prefer having access to something like Unrelenting Force or the Fire/Ice shouts on Z instead of something like that or Throw Voice. I use become ethereal to tank a dragons breath attack and fall from really high places mostly. it does have its uses but only the the first word, the other two are pretty much only there because there has to be 3.

You can also use Become Ethereal while using some sort of Cloak spell(Fire/Frost/Shock) to deal damage while invincible. It's pretty underwhelming though. Best shout is Slow time with an amulet of Talos, blessing of Talos and the fixed Morokei mask. Almost permanent time fuckery!

I suspect the weird Miraak cultists have weird scripting, like maybe they leave the 'talking to you' animation once the conversation box is closed but they don't attack until the spoken lines have been delivered. Also it's making me unreasonably upset with how little you're looting and I realize this is a problem with me that I need to work out on my own

So I've been getting back into this game after never having gotten particularly far, and good lord are "I float backwards just fast enough to avoid all your melee attacks while spamming magic. Maybe with a side of sliding 90 degrees up a large rock" enemies loving obnoxious. "Well I just slayed multiple dragons pretty okay, life is good-Oh it's a wispmother/floating undead wizard/etc. gently caress my life." I am going to make a voodoo doll out of these wisp wrappings. You can cast the same spell with both hands? Huh. I always thought you could only duel-cast different spells. Shows how often I play with magic in this game! However once you unlock the Dual-Casting perk for a spell tree using that over casting twice tends to be better since it boosts the spell power (and cost) even more and with Destruction you can pair it with the Impact perk allowing you to keep staggering enemies for as long as you have magicka.

So I just did that dragon mound story mission the other day myself for the first time (Finally), and something I thought was a fluke happened to you too. What's with the lone random dead stormcloak? I mean, he wasn't there when I naturally happened across the mount earlier (You get to tell Dolphin Blade that you already know where it is, if you've passed by it). But his corpse was there for me when I went back for the quest, and there he was for you. PS: I just settled for cockblocking Sven via sidequest.
