Take a shot every time a character says "you're jerking me around", "i'm being jerked around", or similar. The writers loving love that phrase and I have no idea why because I've never heard it said anywhere outside of the show. It pops up in almost every episode.

Change it to "crap" or "rear end", everytime the writers wanted to say "poo poo" or "rear end in a top hat", and you'll die of alcohol poisoning. :v:

It's funny how in some Eps she's got a weird face, and other times, she's pretty dang hot.

That episode and the others where they throw the formula out the window are the best ones imo. The early episode where he's teaching a bunch of students and uses his own leg problem as the mystery of the week for them to solve, and none of them are able to solve it, made me :smith:

There's one episode where a guy working on Cuddy's roof is the patient of the week, and during the cold open she chugs some water too fast and there's a drama stinger chord and slow zoom as she chokes on it for half a second :allears:

I used to listen to that show "car talk" on npr. Those guys were amazing, they could take literally any call/car problem and make it last for 20 minutes of show. I was like, how do they do this? A car is a limited number of parts, and the system goes together in some sort of ubiquitous fashion across the car spectrum. It's a simple little logical trick. You can take any complex system, a car, a person, and create a logical line of reason that makes sense to describe the problem. But since the system is complex (but self-contained) any mistake can be played off by finding a logical pathway from another part of the system to the problem. So you are never wrong, you can always forge a path to the actual problem in any complex, closed system, after any assertion. This is what House MD does. He bullshits his way through medicine and uses logical reduction in a complex system to support his initial hypothesis no matter what. So he always looks like he knows what he's doing despite being mentally retarded and high on drugs.

I never understood how people with an English Accent could speak perfect plain English when pressed to do so. You would think something would leak through but considering how these guys are trained and how long they've been doing it I'd expect just as much. If I were ever to act I think I would have a hard time doing accents. I always get out of character and no way is anyone going to put up with me for something there is going to be only a limited time for and with so many other people wasting their precious time too.

You'd think he would impersonate someone who looks more like him, perhaps a John Kerry. John Kerry has a hella interesting voice compared Geroge Clooney. It would have been a much different show I'd think. I'd be watching it right now.
