They have some trash theme song instead of massive attacks teardrop.

I stopped watching the show after the lipstick episode. I heard the end sucked?

Let's talk about house like it's 2006

Getting mixed signals here

How good bad is it compared to the last season of Dexter versus breaking bad

I jumped into season 2 and the Mexican kid gets his hand amputated and it seems like they should have just cut off his two fingers?

Oh well

House was on that weird early 2000s cusp where they were just figuring out that pressing the reset button every episode is kind of dumb and hey you can actually have continuity to your show!!! But they still mostly just hit the reset and felt a bit lame

They did shake things up with the cast-- I actually liked Jennifer Morrison so I wasn't real happy with how they did that. I ended up liking 13 eventually and Kal pen was good until :suicide: but otherwise ehhhh..Did they just not want to pay them as much after a contract was up or something?

That's definitely thr problem. If house maintained story arcs like later 2000 shows with some formula episodes thrown in would've been aced

Hugh Laurie carries the gently caress out of the show

ziasquinn

It's even better cause at one point Hugh Laurie does an American version of a British accent, when he could have been lazy and just dropped the american accent.

I forgot that he doesn't always save the patients. The black kid with the radioactive metal thing, does not survive

Season finale of season 5 and the episode before it. Fantastic episodes.

Yeah those two episodes are really good. They didn't turn me off the show I think I just started college and started watching Dexter instead

This was one of my favorite parts of the show. Like the episode where cuddy looks like she's about to have an asthma attack and then womp womp her immigrant gardener falls off the roof, I laugh just thinking about it lol

I loving love House but it bothered me how many children, homeless people, random cops, strippers, whatever were able to see right through him and throw him into reflection mode

House gets shut down super easily. He's so contrary that you'd think he'd kick and whine a little more but he just averts his eyes and the scene ends

Wilson lays out some wicked burns too

I forget the original teams specialties since they don't ever announce them. I know foreman is a neurologist, so all his diagnosis stuff leans on the brain, I guess Cameron is an allergy specialist

What is Chase?

ziasquinn

He's just a surgeon. Lame.

Cameron is specifically an immunologist

Wow the og team only lasted until season 4? drat

I can really respect the fact they maintain the heart rate monitors in the scenes to make them consistent

Foreman is in pain and his monitor says 110

ziasquinn
Jan 1, 2006

Fallen Rib
I'm not sure if the monitors also update the blood pressure, I think it might depend on the director and how much they utilized their medical consult

This last one with a baby had really inconsistent heart rate monitors. And the foreman one failed too... It was 110 when he got fired up but was like 90 just as the insane pain kicked in.

Good foreshadowing with Amber. He helped his friend by having sex with his friends GF

Oh yeah this loving episode. Where house cures a dude but cuddy doesn't tell him!

So mad about that

Ugh and Wilson's justification is awful. "He got lucky, next time he might kill someone" it's a shot of cortisol! It had no risks otherwise cuddy wouldn't have bothered

And telling him no sets him back down Vicodin alley

I'd be more on board to agree with them if his crazy idea was actually dangerous. I think the tone is all hosed up too if you're riding in on the coattails of the season 2 finale where everyone was agreeing with him on everything (cause everyone was a hallucination) ((but even then he was right cause HE advocated the ketamine treatment))

So it feels like everyone is disagreeing just to do it and cuddy even mentions that he's sober and wants to help so that's her reason for shutting him down.

Teaching house to learn to accept no is probably Valuable but there will always be more cases to push that agenda. Wilson's advocacy to keep silent about it seems like he's still upset at house for
... Not being miserable?

ziasquinn
