Honestly if you start making an effort to appear more positive it seems to have a positive effect on the people around you and they're more pleasant, which makes you actually feel good and positive instead of the sullen  Sad Lord of Sarcasmton that you are you goon !

It is a meaningless distinction and forced optimism is really loving annoying. I generally find that these kinds of attitude corrections come from people who think they have leverage over you and are tone deaf to the particular conditions of a person's situation. Just don't force things. Are you that afraid of letting it hang out and facing the absurdness of everyday reality? Better yet, in sum, mind your own business. tl;dr as a proletariat I resent you p.s.
