george rr martin is a fat piece of poo poo who wrote three good fantasy novels, after which he has been baiting his fans for years. the rest of his body of work is goony garbage with lead characters who are fat pieces of poo poo based on himself robert jordan was for the most part a hack fantasy writer who wrote a few pieces of entertaining but predicable genre with some admittedly above average world-building. he then repeated writing the same book for years and deliberately stretched out the story to earn cash, at which point everyone sane stopped reading and it was eventually finished by another hack fantasy writer whose only writing talent is creating gimmick magic systems steven erikson is reputed to be a good writer, but only fat unemployed neckbeards can vouch for this as no one else has the time to read and understand his near impenetrable series
