Makes sense if you think about it. Assuming someone *else* has prepared basic skills, but not guns, now you can get the fruits of labor without the labor! Perhaps declare yourself leader to give this claim to unearned goods an air of legitimacy. You can even have an election with a lightly veiled thread of violence against any other candidates or anyone who selects another candidate, now it's a republic, nothing more legitimate than that!
