What happened in the Bears game? I checked on it in the 3rd quarter and it was 9-7 Eagles. I just switched to it now and it's 22-7 Eagles.

What happened is the Bears blow.

Apparently it's a bullpen day for the Reds, so there's no reason why the Cubs shouldn't be able to score a dozen runs tonight

You know, except for the fact that it's the Cubs against a pitcher with an ERA that's almost 5. So I fully expect the Cubs will strike out 15-17 times.

The real joke being that CarMart actually got oxygen yesterday after a combination of running the bases, high altitude in Colorado and (allegedly) swallowing some chew.

He's a legit Cy Young candidate this season so yeah I'd say so far he's been worth it. It'll be interesting to see how he pitches when Ross is gone. It seems like once or twice a game Lester completely loses his command and Ross has to go out to the mound and give him a pep talk, not sure if that's something Contreras will be able to do as effectively.

If the Rangers go deep in the playoffs, it will be despite its pitching staff being the most bi-polar set of hurlers I've seen in a while.
