So was that one of the "sponsored" sketches they're adding this year? I only ask because it started with the Netflix logo rather than an SNL bumper.

Cause that was one of the better sketches of the night, so if that's the level of sponsorship then I'm cool with it.

I don't know, but I don't think it was because Netflix is a direct competitor to Hulu, which NBC partly owns. I thought that the sponsored sketches would be similar to the Pepsi McGruber ones from a few years back.

Dunno if it was sponsored, but there's a technical reason for not coming out of the break on a bumper. That was the "possible show segment" that isn't preceded by a local break. No local break, no need for a bumper.
