November is #drawdinovember on your hashtag supporting social media of choice, so the theme this month is dinosaurs!

A couple of dailies. "Pencil pushups" feel weak after inktober.

Went back to this oil painting which I haven't touched in forever. Oh man - the eyes and face are bugging the crap out of me. At least I am painting with a seasoned oil painter now. So hopefully he can help me fix this thing.

i think it looks pretty good! my criticism is her left eye can come down a shade, but otherwise i'd say it's all proportionate and fine. unless the model looks wildly different, ha

Yeah - now that you mention it, one is definitely higher than the other. I will post the reference next time I post progress on it. Hopefully soon.

Your last drawing reminds me so much of the old Dick Tracy comics for some reason.

None of these are dinosaurs, I'm sorry:

Finished off the animal section of Drawabox with a big ol' cutie (because all animals are cuties):

The orange is, uh, the desert sun.

So I went ahead and drew another animal all by myself like a big boy, forgetting half the poo poo I'd learned along the way:

Still better than what I could do a few weeks back though! I should probably draw a dinosaur next.

This time I found this fossil pic

and I gave it skin!

I wasn't quite certain if that was a fang or just a big lower tooth jutting up so I went with the thumb rule of "whatever's cooler".

hyracotherium? If so yeah, it's just a tooth.

My computer has been rendering for the past couple days so I haven't been able to draw on it, but it's finally done so I made this for @pixel_dailies

I tineye'd the image and the fossil is apparently Eurohippus messelensis! Although it seems the same fossil appears with the name Propalaeotherium parvulum in the wikimedia commons which is somehow a synonym. Who decides this stuff?

So this is me the past couple of days.
I noted that the triceratops skull leaves room for huuuuge sinuses and I thought "what if they had like this blow-uppable skin part like frogs but for their sinuses and then they can go honk" but it didn't turn out and the dino looks ill.

And I ended up with "what if cats were dinosaurs"

Picked up a nib pen and am trying to adjust to it from standard pens for inking. Figured I'd do a practice sketch of the party Paladin. The ink drops make me sad.

That's very nice! Virtually every time I use nib pens I end up with a splot somewhere. I did one picture that came out beautifully, not one splot, only to have it hit with a raindrop as I was putting into a display on my classroom door. Because I didn't use waterproof ink, it had a very nice smear.
