I live on the south side of Chicago (just west of little village) and I have never heard so many gunshots over the course of 3 hours last night. Nothing but that, fireworks, car horns and police sirens until 3 am.

Most of their injuries were minor. CFD also said there were several 911 calls made for alcohol-related issues. Sounds like things didnt get too out of hand later on either.

Why is there no pictures/video of people carrying the taco bell sign? Has everyone forgotten how to internet?

MisterOblivious posted:and you posted no pictures I really don't take many pictures when I'm out. I tried to take a picture of all the cops in front of the marquee but it was so foggy that they didn't turn out at all. I highly regret not taking a picture of the Taco Bell full of police officers, though. I've failed us all. We moved to my buddy's front lawn on Racine for some post game celebration. We saw tons of people streaming down the streets and high fived basically everyone. But by the time we walked back up toward Wrigley around 2 am, there weren't any people pulling down light poles or Taco Bell signs anymore. Just the aftermath. Some news trucks, some cops in Taco Bells and some street sweepers moving tons of trash around.

Maybe it's a small one from the drive-thru or window? One of the arrests was for a guy who was flying a drone and crashed it.

The memorial graffiti on the left center field wall is the most part of last night's celebration. I hope the Cubs take steps to preserve it in some form.
