well the first 15 minutes or so of that period went about as well for the Stars as it could have, but then that goal put a shock into the Hawks and they got going.. Stars very lucky not to be tied up in this right now. they have to do better than that in the 2nd and 3rd to win the game.

this 2nd period is going down the toilet the same way last night's game went. Chicago has managed to sneak both Toews and Kane out there against the Stars' AHL forwards on a couple of occasions now, and it's been trouble each time.

Schmaltz on the top line with Toews and Kane. Curious to see how that pans out, Schamltz has been kind of quiet but players like Tootoo and Rasmussen probably don't complement him well.

Stars so bad at 4 on 4 / 3 on 3. Not that they are great defending 5 on 5 either, but they lose every game that goes to OT and bleed goals in the rare cases it goes to 4 on 4 play in regulation
