The most important thing about this skillcheck is that dials aren't checked until the end of the turn, so Cally will still get brigged one last time.

Yeah, this one was rough. Good play by the Cylons though. I gotta say, I feel like Ellen was a terrible choice - I don't know if I was playing her wrong or what, but she was just dead weight for most of the game. And gently caress her draw, gross gross GROSS

Ellen is extremely pro-human if she has freedom to move around, but without that freedom it's tough.

deckcylon screwed this game so bad it got drastically unfun in the span of two turns

Yeah I agree, unfortunately. Sometimes that's just the way it works out, but all those Exploit Weaknesses cycling through Cylon hands was frankly ridiculous - on top of the poo poo-tier Mutiny and Quorum distribution. Here's the next few Quorum Cards: Inspirational Speech Assign Mission Specialist Civilian Self Defense Establish Dogsville Inspirational Speech Execute Prisoner ...and apparently Presidential Pardon was literally at the bottom of the deck because OF COURSE.
|
# ? Dec 17, 2016 03:11 |

Next few Destinations: Lion's Head Nebula (would have killed you) Misjump (lol) Ragnar Anchorage (would have doomed you to an extra jump cycle) Deep Space (would have... NOT killed you I guess?)

There were 4 Mutiny Cards left in the deck: MUTINY: Feed the People [Action: Decrease the Jump Preparation track by 2 and gain 1 Food. Then, remove this card from the game.] MUTINY: Unauthorized Usage [Action: Launch 1 Nuke at a Basestar. Then remove this card and all nuke tokens from the game. You cannot play this card if the Admiral has no nuke tokens.] MUTINY: Send a Message [Action: Damage Galactica and, if possible, attack a Centurion on the Boarding Party Track, adding 2 to the die result. Then, discard this card.] MUTINY: Weapons Armed [Action: Destroy a Raptor to gain an Assault Raptor. Then, launch 2 Raiders from each Basestar and discard this card. You cannot play this card if there are no Raptors in the Reserves.] Of course it was mainly the decent ones?!

Thanks for running it! It was fun even if the game took a giant poo poo on us. Sorry for being slow/forgetting 23906t9034093 things/and getting probated. And yeah it's gonna be a blast - two weeks though, so I was definitely gonna have to slow things down if the game kept going. We were rusty I just wasn't expecting a Podima game to go close to a month.

Man, there's a lot to say here. First, I'd like to thank Podima. Running these things isn't easy and he really does a hell of a job. To the rest of you, thanks for playing, especially for sticking it out and being good sports through deckcylon's inevitable betrayal and my endless supply of terrible gifs. Arivia, thanks for only getting a 24hr probate this time. To all the lurkers out there, especially Gwaihir, Stelas, Klades, W.T. Fits, and my greatest friend and foe, Cocks Cable, I hope to similarly ruin a game for you, soon. Arivia asked earlier about how I've been and I kinda ducked it because I didn't want to sidetrack the game. As most of you know, in the middle of my last SA BSG game, I was caught in a flash flood during a goonmeet at my house. The end result is that I lost ~$5000 or so in property, was laid up for about a week, and was displaced from my home indefinitely. I spent about a month living with my folks and getting myself sorted, but I've since moved into a new apartment, and started putting my life back together. I'm covered in scars and had a really awful ear infection from getting submerged in some really grody flood waters, but I'm doing fine now. That said, my family, despite helping me out can be real hard to get along with some times, especially during the holidays and I was in kind of a personal and professional funk rolling into Thanksgiving. This game may just be a thing to do for you guys, but for me, it really gave me something positive to focus on, and helped me get back into the sort of place mentally and emotionally I needed to be at. I really mean it when I say I missed playing and I missed all the goons I play here with. So, now, I'm back on track. I've hosted another goonmeet at my new place and have one more scheduled for New Year's Eve. I stood my ground at work and convinced them to let me start working from home 1 day a week, which should free me up a little to get everything else around here caught up. And to top it off, with Podima and Max Peck's help, I've even started running my own play-by-forum BSG game (with DEFCON) on another forum, and it's going great. So, yeah, this game went a little pear-shaped, but I'm glad we did it (even if it sounds trite coming from a toaster), and I hope we get a chance to do it again soon.

LOOK THERE WERE PEOPLE WRONG ON THE INTERNET AND I NEEDED TO CORRECT THEM I'm really glad it helped Toshimo. I was worried I'd upset you by asking earlier. As far as I'm concerned you earned that win friend *hugs* I totally know how games can help, I've been working with my therapist on using my Pathfinder game to get myself going.

I'm sorry the game dragged a tad here and there, work continues to be insane. But I love running these games, and I'm glad it helped you out. Link me to your PbP game if you can - or if it's on a private forum, good luck! You will ALWAYS mess something up, no matter what. Expect another game from me sometime soon, probably - after all, it's nearly Cylonmas!
