I think if he smoked more weed a lot of his movies wouldn't have been made and that's not necessarily a bad thing. He would have had a few, his work ethic would have suffered, and that would have been it. Jason Mewes might've died in this timeline, though. Kinda hard to say if Pothead Kevin Smith would've put in the same effort to save him.
