And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.

Ryan Hall was looking for offense the entire fight. Maynard was the one who wasn't engaging.

Ryan Hall threw a rolling inverted upkick to the face that landed

I want Hall to go up two weight classes and fight Demian Maia. Well, I guess fight isn't the right word.

Ryan Hall landed two illegal upkicks to Gray's one, so you can't say he wasn't outpacing Maynard in the offence.

Ryan Hall [accurately] describing the fight as the audience rains down boos is beautiful.

I tried to fight him but he defended it effectively by literally falling down

Well he could move up, Hall isn't that big. But I remembered Charles Oliviera's on a losing streak right now so maybe that would work.

Maynard could have engaged at any time but he chose to do literally nothing most of the fight.

Ryan Hall is going to get absolutely murdered by the top 15, because his entire skillset on the inside is to fall over.

I hear you wish to ball, adventurer..
Have some loving confidence in your training and go to the ground or at least try to pressure your opponent. Maynard did none of this and landed around 12 strikes in the entire fight.

Gray Maynard should have been disqualified for cowardice and refusing to engage because after he landed one punch, Ryan Hall literally sprinted around the outside of the cage to get away.

That was the part of his game that was working though. He's going to lose to someone who can outstrike him from kicking range or to someone who can actually engage him on the ground successfully. Part of why I'd like to see the Oliviera fight is I think he could do both.

I'm trying to remember if Hall got into some kind of internet drama involving steroids, or if I'm just confusing it with the time Jeff Glover openly posted that he got tired of having too few opponents in his weight class so he roided himself up 15 pounds
