Today Finland becomes a culinary powerhouse to be reckoned with. As we're celebrating our 100th anniversary as an independent nation we've carefully selected our first official national food. A couple of hours ago the result was unveiled. <-- news link Beating out other Finnish delights such as fried smallfish, fish soup, liver casserole and mämmi, we've settled on that dark, crusty delight... Rye Bread!  In celebration I'm gonna go buy myself a nice rye bread today and have a couple of rye bread sandwiches. I'm not sure if I should cut the crust off the sides or keep them on. I'm kinda on the fence here. Should the sandwich be crusty or not? I'm gonna use lots of butter though. That's for sure. How do you feel about this issue? Where do you stand regarding crust?
