Welcome to Final Fantasy 3 Mafia, a game of mafia for 19 players. In this incarnation, I am eliminating Equipment and HP and bringing things more in line with a traditional mafia game. Instead of events giving out items or gold they will instead provide bonuses to individuals or teams. There will also not be any levels or XP. Scum do not get a kill, the only advantage they get, is knowing what each job does at each skill level, whereas town will only be able to see the names of each job. The only Stat that any player will have is Capacity Points which will be used to purchase jobs when they become available and there are also other things that may be done with capacity for some people. Capacity points will be gained after encounters and via certain other methods dependent on class and alignment. Final Fantasy 3 was the very first Final Fantasy game to include a Job System, so of course, it's the time I have been looking forward to since i started this series..... JOB SYSTEM TIME! Every player in the game will begin as a freelancer with no abilities (Other than some possible power roles relating to Capacity Points) Each job will cost capacity points The cost of each job will be dependent on two factors, Which crystal the job is aligned to. Once the Wind Crystal is attained (Likely on day 2 jobs will become open) then people must send me a PM to spend Capacity Points on Jobs. This may only be done during the day phase and jobs will not be changed at night. Base costs are as follows Freelancer - 0 Points Wind Jobs - 5 Points Fire Jobs - 10 Points Water Jobs - 15 Points Earth Jobs - 20 Points Hidden Job - 25 Points These values will be adjusted for you based on your current Job and what your skill level is at that job. Skill Levels: Each job will grow in skill levels the more you use its powers, Each job will have tiers of power as follows. Job: Skill Level 1: Power Skill Level 3: 2nd Power Skill Level 5: 3rd Power Each time you use a power your skill level will raise, to a maximum of 5. Your Skill level will also be raise by 1 for each day/night cycle that you remain in the job. Affinity: The other thing that has an effect on Job Cost is Affinity, basically each job fits into a category and certain categories do not synergize well with others. It is based on the following chart. If the job you are currently in does not "flow" to the job you are currently changing to it will cost an additional 10 CP to change to, so this creates an affinity of sorts, Martial classes (Warriors, Knights etc..) will be able to change to Agility based classes(Ranger, Ninja, Thief etc..) with no extra cost but will incur a 10 point penalty switching to a Magical class (Black Mage, White Mage, Sage etc...) All classes can freely move to and from default classes(Freelancer and the hidden job) without additional cost. Jobs will be revealed as you find crystals and you will not know what each jobs powers are specifically, but will get a brief description of them when they become available and each listing will show the affinity of the class. One last note about jobs, You will be able to use the powers of all previously attained jobs by spending Capacity points to do so. Skill level 1 powers cost 10 CP, level 3 powers cost 15 CP, and Level 5 powers cost 20 CP. You have to have attained that skill level at the previous job though, you will also not be able to spend CP on powers from previous classes if the ability is X-Shot and you have used it up already. That's it! Encounters will be very similar to what you are used to, I will do 2 encounters per game day, no more no less. This is to avoid a "Let's wait and see if cpig does another encounter" menality. All Standard Mafia Rules apply. Days will be 48 hours and nights 24 hours to start, decreasing to 24 hour days and 12 hour nights once half of the players are dead. Currently Unlocked Jobs will be in the second post. Players

I am every bit as fascinated by this wild and crazy game idea and closing my eyes and pretending it isn't mafia so that I'm going to let myself play it this month anyway (and hereby promise not to replace out barring Actual Legitimate Emergency) as I am by playing a game you mod, cpig.
