Update 3 - Feb 2001 Ypdate 4 March 2001 Update 5 - April 2001 Update 6 - May 2001 Update 7- June 2001 Update 8 - July - September 2001 Update 9 - October - December 2001 The story, this time around.... Capitalistpig awoke with a cold sweat. Was it all a dream? Goonfights, the whole thing? He looked at the clock, yeah, it was still 1999, he was still in the southern wastelands in New Georgia. He couldn't shake the dream, wrestling, it wasn't something that people had thought about in a long time. Ever since the fall the only sports had been tame ones, people's lives were brutal enough. He could do it though, he could make it a success. He had the money, he had the knowledge.... Welcome to Goonfights 3! This time around, it is January 2000. In this alternate reality in 1980 a huge catastrophic nuclear event set off a chain reaction into a bloody conflict that engulfed the world. Once the first bomb hit everything was on the table, no more rules. Weapons were made that shattered the world. The only land still above water or not a blasted radioactive unlivable hell of muddy death was North America and Mexico, and even then they weren't what people remembered. The snowy north, what was once Canada is now "The Northern Wastelands" The United States are now "The Southern Wastelands" Mexico is now referred to as "Nueva Teotihuacan" Refugees from all over the world gathered and resettled there and life returned to somewhat normal. People worked together and got some technologies working again, Nuclear energy and anything to do with radioactive anything was banned. Energy was gathered from renewable sources since the population of the world was so low it was easier to make those things work. A new internet has been made, though nowhere near the state it was in before the fall. Television and radio are once again staples of life, though again, not on the scale it once was. Capitalistpig used a dream to revitalize the wrestling industry. This is the story of Professional wrestling in that world. I am using TEW 2016 which chaoslord kindly bought for me, with the caveat that I bring back goonfights! This time around instead of just focusing on a single company with all you chuckleheads in it I made a whole world. I used the votefinder player list to add over 100 names as people who could pop up as workers in the wrestling industry at any time! instead of writing each show we are going to condense things and each week i will run an entire months worth of shows from all active wrestling companies as a weekly wrestling report kind of view. Our character this time is.....  I started the game with four active promotions. Let's tour them now. Blood On The Sand - BotS  Blood on the sand was created in the california free territories to compete with the attention Capitalistpig was getting in the South East. Founded by Grandicap it is a more aggressive and hardcore based promotion. Grandi mostly fills the role of Announcing, colour commentating, or road Agent as needed in his promotion. Here is their product style  Titles:   And info sheet:  Campeones de la Lucha Libre - CLL  This league was founded in Nueva Teotihuacan by a mysterious financial power. However, the face of the company is Eccoraven who runs the business and books the shows. She runs the show as a corrupt authority figure.     Neo Stampede Wrestling - NSW  Founded by Retro Futurist who also wrestles within the company, intent on reviving a Canadian tradition from a long time ago. The Canuckle Sandwich Lives On!     Wastelands Wrestling League - WWL  Wastelands Wrestling league, one of the "Big Two" in the Southern Wastelands wrestling scene. (well one of the only two) This promotion is run by Capitalistpig who often works as a heel color commentator(but can easily step into an authority figure or announcing role if necessary,)     That is the four companies as they stand in the beginning. Now, the workers that the game will begin with.  Some of you are not wrestlers, these also include some refs and announcers and road agents. Everyone will begin unemployed except the four owners. The cool thing about TEW 2016 is that it has good organic settings, the game will create workers as needed and other companies can spring up as the game moves on. As I started up the game i got these little blurbs about people    So to start things up I am going to have a major update in the third post of a years worth of the game running so a respectable amount of extra workers can be built up and I can have a big, meaty update. Update 1 - The first year So, let's start this BotS ditched their television show entirely and are just running monthly pay per views.  same for WWL  On the other hand CLL and NSW seem to have kept theirs   Lets see how well each company is doing  WWL seems to have fallen to local size and is number 4. Looks like cpig's dream got usurped! The stars of WWL.  Bots managed to just stay above small in the regional level and is number 3 in the world. Bots stars  The ones without avatars are workers that the game created after it had started and are not part of the starting batch of wrestlers. (also if you don't add a last name and a first name the game can't create wrestlers so i put a . as the only possible surname. So everyone created after the fact will have an extra . at the end of their name.) NSW has done well for themselves and are number 2 in the world. NSW Stars -  And the king , CLL is number 1 on the world and is doing quite well CLL stars -  Every year there are "End of the Year Awards" Let's have a look at the winners of this year.          Those are the only awards given out this year. Now on to the fun stuff, some of the weird little things that happened over the year.      Apparently, the MMA was also reborn into this apocalyptic wasteland!      And here is my favorites, Love is in The Air!   (hahahaha) Now let's take a look at the best show put on by each company this year.  (. and . in the main event are winvirus and truth quark)  (This one was from top to bottom the .'s are A worthy Uhh and TMM going to a time limit draw with Moat and Gamerofthegame and the one under that is 8bux and Golden Zuchinni defeating Perpetual idiot and Slasher Hawke)  (The tag team match was winvirus and truth quark defeating Somber and No Lynch and the double count out was cena and dongsbot vs Eddie Valiant and Baron Fuzzlewhack.) and finally WWL  And that is it for the first year! It is a lot more stable than previous incarnations so expect this to run a lot longer.
