MASS EFFECT 2 - 2010

Hey guys what's up, I decided to start up a channel and instead of going right for the newest and bestest games out there to instead take a trip back down my all time favorite game series - Mass Effect. I've already completed Mass Effect 1 and am more than excited to jump into the 2nd part. So without further Ado.

Created by Bioware in 2007, Mass Effect was one of the first games series designed from the ground up to be a trilogy. While they don't always nail on that initial promise you can't take away the guts for attempting such an ambitious project. Mass Effect 1 laid the ground work with it's cutting edge graphics that took advantage of the latest tech at the time and oozed pulpy sci-fi. You play as Commander Shepard, a legendary soldier who is searching for ways to thwart a threat to the galaxy that has been going on far longer than anyone is aware.

Jumping into the 2nd game, Bioware decided to focus more on the action gameplay and slim down the RPG elements. What resulted is one of the highest jumps in quality this side of Assassin's Creed 2.

Several months have passed since the end of Mass Effect 1. Commander Shepard, with the crew of the SR-1 Normandy, is scouring the galaxy for the Geth - sentient artificial lifeforms that recently attacked the heart of Galactic Civilization. But what starts as a routine mission ends up being anything but.

This game was recorded on the PC and has several HD mods running, along with the use of the Gibbed Save File Editor.

I've been replaying the trilogy. Just got into ME2 with my FemShep Merith Shepard. And I'm doing it on insanity... :shepicide:

God help anyone who tries to go for that specific achievement. But I must agree, the ME2 opening is one of the most iconic as far as I'm concerned. Even if it's EA publishing, Bioware was still a living, breathing thing at this point. And definitely one of the better sequels out there, at least from the 2000s on.
