Hey guys you want to know if we have x for streaming? Well you better sign up! Also the majority of our stuff is garbage filler we know no one wants. Oh and don't expect to catch up because we're gonna release episodes 8 days after they air. One more thing, and this is important you mind having an account for individual networks shows? Whelp we tried but there's still pirating I have no idea why.

Yeah it's dumb. CBS is only airing the new Star Trek through their CBS Access streaming service in the USA and on Netflix everywhere else in the world.

Do I pay $10-$15/mo for Star Trek or... Hmm.

Amazon Prime doesn't include Twilight Zone season 4 as part of the subscription, which is bullshit. Probably has something to do with it being the season with longer episodes.

You're the reason streaming services are going to look like and be sold at the prices of cable TV within the next decade.

how is it even possible to have avoided piracy all this time? even with just a little taste of it you download so much faster than you can watch it and then you have 50 complete tv shows you havent even started

But Netflix's DVD service is great for getting physical copies of movies and TV shows with special features and commentary.

Nothing in Jurassic World is natural, we have always filled gaps in the genome with the DNA of other animals. And if the genetic code was pure, many of them would look quite different. But you didn't ask for reality, you asked for more teeth.
Streaming is still better than cable, which is what I had to put up with for most of my life.

if there was a way to ignore spoilers, you could just sign up to X for a couple of months to catch up on Y, maybe when we're all living under gay luxury space communism we can just 3d print poo poo on distant bodies in our spare time and get the shows that just arrived, months or years after they aired on Earth

I like the exodus thing for Kodi but i'm too scared to use it in the US I don't want to go to jail. It is nice being able to watch things still in theaters though for free and never having to buy anything. Netflix especially in germany is garbage.

streaming is actually really good when you have HD/lossless copies of everything and stream them to yourself with PLEX/Subsonic

code:
 % du -sh *
 19G Books
2.1T Movies
327G Music
2.1T TV

buy an external hook and plug it into your computer. or use local disk for free idk.

if you can watch netflix on TV, then you can probably also stream video files over your local lan through a native or installed app.

Of course. Here's the thing they don't seem to realize/care they are competing with free and pretty convenient. They can't beat free, but they sure as gently caress could at least be more convenient.

The only good streaming is when you physically download while watching. That way it's not complete utter rear end quality.
