WE WERE ALL UP IN THAT SHIT LIKE A MUTHAFUCKA. IT'S CLEANER THAN A BROKE DICK DOG.

Be on the lookout for two doofuses wearing Iowa State jerseys at the Washington-Cal game on ESPN. My friend and I have second row tickets and feel we've earned the occasion to wear jerseys of a team that isn't even playing.

Now that that is typed out, I am sad again. And will be for a while.

Tom Herman needs to stop chasing points early in the game when we don't know if we'll need to chase points yet or not. This was the second of five games that went to OT when he didn't take a chip shot FG early in the game and we turned over on downs going for a TD.

Also the offense is way better for reasons I can't comprehend.

Last week some smart posters explained to me why the offense was so bad and why it might not be Tim Beck's fault. I need those posters to explain to me what the gently caress happened today that made everything click against a good D.

UT tied for the lead in the Big 12. Just us and TCU at the top of the heap.

The following are teams some people thought were good but actually aren't:

Florida, Michigan

The following are teams that people thought were bad, and still are.

Arkansas, Florida State

The following are teams that are actually good:

Iowa State, Cougs bitch.

Highlights of the day:

Flag Plant, that tight ends sister, all the cold miserable kids at the Michigan game who wore shorts and tshirts to a night game in inclement weather to watch John O'Korn poo poo all over the field.

Also Auburn is probably pretty good and I'm jacked up for our Georgia-Alabama November schedule because it might not be completely miserable this year.

Arizona gets one that most people had marked down as an L, Khalil Tate sets an FBS rushing record and throws competent passes, Richrod still has hope to stay alive, today is a good football Saturday.

Yeah we kinda looked lovely in the second half today but it's the kind of lovely where you're just saying that cause you won by 20 instead of 40 in a game obviously no one cared about at all. I'm actually glad LSU won and A&M pushed Bama a little cause hopefully we will take them seriously.

The offense functions much better when the QB is a true running threat, with Ehlinger playing, it clicks with what Herman does (think back at his Ohio State and UH teams - JT Barrett/Cardale Jones and Greg Ward Jr. made those offenses good). It works because he thrives on conflict, and he creates running game conflict by making the defense respect and cover the QB. Additionally, on designed QB runs you get an extra blocker. Shane B can't do that.

I'm curious to see why Orlando's defense apparently can't handle misdirection or assignment option play worth a drat. Both Maryland and KSU took us to the woodshed on this.

You should just read some ScipioTex and Nobis60 articles. Scipio is behind a paywall now which sucks - but worth it I think.
