Yay, offseason thread. Zimmerman always seemed like a pretty solid defensive piece for Dallas, I'm surprised they got rid of him (and I wonder what they'll do with the money/allocation spot?) Between Kamara and Blondell it is now obvious that Montero isn't coming back, but on the bright side they both seem better suited for our apparent system than Montero was (plus, yaknow, having two Actual First-Team Quality Strikers) so I'm pretty positive about the move. Especially since Kamara came cheap (first and a second, I'm hearing, and unless we have another comedy season those aren't going to be particularly high picks). The others are, as you say, , but in an expansion year silly season doesn't start in earnest until the expansion draft.

I am legitimately confused why Tyler Miller was picked... but apparently he went to the same College as LAFC's GM so? Overall I think these picks were exponentially better than Minnesota's or Atlanta's. Played internationally/MLS/English leagues, coached Cosmos to multiple championships, and got his start coaching academies (which could give the Timbers youth system a healthy boost). Also bilingual english/spanish. I'm cautiously optimistic?

I mean yeah, the Cosmos were the 900 lb gorilla of the NASL but by all appearances he's a pretty good coach. I'm astonished the Revs went with Friedel over him. side note from that article: LOL at those incentives in the Nagbe deal, he ain't never hitting those.
