It's also funny to see when the dev team started to make money. There's some of your typical spotty VN translation in the earlier writing, then gets exceptionally localized later on. Same with the art. I did a loyalty mission where Delta was standing next to Crow, and they looked like they were from different games. Granted, Delta looks like she was an asset that escaped from an OG design doc, but still.

Limbus also loving rocks and will definitely make my goty if they keep up the quality of the next few cantos. It's arguably the most f2p modern gacha because you can grind to get the characters pretty easily. Project moon's nameless city setting might be the best I've seen in a decade. Imagine 26 different cybe punk dystopias smashed together with supernatural poo poo poured on top. The problem with limbus is that the buy-in is really high to get the most out of it. You kinda need to play a 50-hour management game, then a 50-hour card game, then a book, and maybe a comic on top of maybe a bunch of classic literature. The games are also hard as hell and absolutely demand that you have a certain amount of mastery of its systems that it doesn't explain too well.

The actual problem with Limbus is that the CEO kowtowed to the South Korean incels/chuds who are massive misogynists that were offended that a "summer" servant didn't have her tits out so they went on a witch hunt to get the artist fired, found out he was a guy, and then instead went after one of the two story CG artists because she was a woman who had an old deleted social media post saying she thought it should be illegal for men to take creep shot photos of women on public transportation. So they accused her of being a feminist and the CEO fired her and she disappeared for almost a year. This also set off witch hunts on other south Korean games (and this one) to have them remove anything that resembles the pinch emoji since that is obviously saying a guy's dick is small and is misandry/etc. It ain't great being a lady in South Korea.

The degree of how much focus it requires varies with each viewer's tolerance, sure. oh, for sure, the main vibe/issue im kinda getting is like, christianity stuff in america is something a large portion of the population still directly adheres to, while the Confucianism stuff in korea is more baked into the social structures/societal expectations than an active force in the modern day, if that makes sense? theres a reason i said 'mildly', its not that big a deal, more just some of the phrasing he uses

But in the same way, the radically Puritan form of Christianity practised by the first colonists isn't exactly common in America these days, but its shadow still looms over the country. If you were doing a deep dive on America's cultural problems for someone totally unfamiliar with the place, it would make sense to start there and refer back to it when it's relevant.
