I don't want to be that old, but the thought of listening to men land on the moon for the very first time is so...crazy to me, as separated as we are from it now, that my gosh that must have been truly something else. Stripping away all the US vs USSR stuff that drove it, just being able to listen to a dude be like "Yea we landed on the moon, hang on a sec, gonna go check it out" without having any frame of reference at all, ever? Man that's pretty sweet. I'm sorry we can't do that anymore. I know, we don't need to. That doesn't strip away the fact that we pretty much CAN'T. And that's sad for all humanity, but why, I can't place my finger on, because we'd be better served not going to the moon and not waging war on you.... ...but it'd still be cool though, yea?
