The accepted term these days is "pissy."

I hope one of these goes to trial, rear end in a top hat deserves his day in court.

quote:

Former Blackhawks skills coach Paul Vincent has also retained Cortese and is also exploring a legal claim. Vincent alleges that he was blacklisted by the NHL team after he said he urged its senior executives in May 2010 to report Aldrich’s alleged sexual misconduct to police.

Vincent said Blackhawks management lashed back at him after he pressured the team’s top executives to report Aldrich’s alleged abuse of Beach and Black Ace 1 to police.

“I did my job helping Blackhawks players in the NHL and in the minors get better and get more prepared,” Vincent said in an interview last week. “And after we won the Stanley Cup, I went into a meeting with [then vice-president of hockey operations] Al MacIsaac and he told me he was going to offer me a contract for half what I had been making, and it was going to be with the team’s American Hockey League team. They were punishing me. They did not like me pushing for them to report Brad Aldrich to the police.”

I'm really glad Rocky took the opportunity to show that ownership is still full of unrepentant assholes, I was thinking about watching the hawks again.

According to Bettman in the interview, "A lot of personnel have left. [President of Business Operations] Jaime Faulkner and [CEO] Danny Wirtz are really running things day-to-day." Almost feels like leaving the door open for a symbolic "stepping back" gesture from Rocky.

Yeah, that's almost certainly the endgame here from a PR perspective.

Danny so desperately wanted to give the generic PR statement and response he'd been working on since they called for this town hall probably.

It is very very funny

Yeah it's so frustrating when people find out your organisation protected an abuser and then have expectations that you'll try to avoid this in the future.

Making you happy for a buck since 199X
The Blackhawks have long been the #1A special darlings of the league office and NBC alongside the Penguins, the frustration all the way up to the tip-top that people won't shut the gently caress up about loving Kyle Beach and leave the poor Blackhawks alone is palpable.

Yeah, actually, gamers in the house forever,
In the long run it is probably (hopefully) for the best that they're showing their true colors, but Jesus Christ it is bizarre in this day and age to hear assholes speak without a filter who are apparently convinced that Public Relations isn't a thing

They (Bettman and the rest, and the owners as a group) genuinely believe the Blackhawks are the victims here. It's disgusting and amazing.

It's about finding that next group of core players we can win with in the next 6, 8, 10 years. Let's face it, it's hard for 20-, 21-, 22-year-olds to lead an NHL team. Look at the playoffs.

Really they should have an outside party doing interviews with every player that has ever skated for the team or the Icehogs to ferret out any other sexual assaults. Obviously the organization has made it easy for abusers to find a home there, and it's super likely there are more to be found.
