I'm an insufferable shitposter who does not deserve to root for such a good team. Also, this is what Matt Harvey thinks of me and my garbage posting.
They do this whenever a radio station flips formats.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stunting_(broadcasting)

quote:

Stunting is a type of publicity stunt in radio broadcasting, where a station—abruptly and often without advance announcement—begins to air content that is seemingly uncharacteristic compared to what is normally played.

Stunting is typically used to generate publicity and audience attention for upcoming changes to a station's programming, such as new branding, format, or as a soft launch for a newly-established station. Occasionally, a stunt may be purely intended as publicity or a protest, and not actually result in a major programming change. Stunts often involve a loop of a single song, or an interim format (such as the discography of a specific artist, Christmas music, a specific theme, or novelty songs), which may sometimes include hints towards the station's new format or branding.

It’s on purpose. But the social media legs from the myth is pretty nice publicity.

Driving across vast, empty, southeastern Oregon one night the radio station was doing nothing but playing What Does the Fox Say on repeat. Must have been this.

But yeah. It was endless, as were the flashes of center line in the headlights as we burned up the miles into the darkness of sunset and beyond. I don't know how many times I listened to that song with my buddy, but I do believe I left behind some of my sanity that night.

Video we recorded of us singing along to that poo poo made it into the company Christmas party reel.

If you're gonna count FDR -> Truman then by the same logic you have to count JFK -> LBJ but why would you because the argument that the party retaining the presidency consecutively shows how serious they are about keeping it is completely and utterly nonsensical.

How does that account for Bill Clinton? "Yeah, he won both times but only with a plurality of the popular vote so they only sorta wanted it."

Directly no, indirectly yes (political pressure behind the scenes to Senators, etc).

Obviously this excludes the normal appointing of a Justice is or raising someone to Chief Justice.

Number of justices is set by Congress and the only way of ejecting a justice [REDACTED] is impeachment, which lol. Same goes for lower court makeup!

The Supreme Court on Thursday sharply cut back the Environmental Protection Agency’s ability to reduce the carbon output of existing power plants, a blow to President Biden’s commitment to battle climate change.
The vote was 6 to 3, with Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. writing for the court’s conservatives.
“Capping carbon dioxide emissions at a level that will force a nationwide transition away from the use of coal to generate electricity may be a sensible ‘solution to the crisis of the day’ " Roberts wrote, referring to a court precedent. “But it is not plausible that Congress gave EPA the authority to adopt on its own such a regulatory scheme.”

So this didn't strip all federal regulatory ability? I really did think that was a bridge too far, even for the current court.
